Freedom Crest Elementary SOAR Student

On February 7th, 2020, Freedom Crest Elementary 4th grade student and tetherball enthusiast Janiel Oquendo was awarded a gift card donated by Newport Pacific Land Company during February’s “Freedom Friday” assembly.
Every month, a teacher selects two SOAR students who demonstrate being safe, organized, accountable, and respectable. SOAR student’s names are placed into a monthly raffle to be selected to receive a gift card donated by Newport Pacific Land Company.
Oquendo demonstrated being accountable, which gave him entry into the “Freedom Friday” assembly raffle. Oquendo’s favorite movie is Venom (2018), and he enjoys cookies-and-cream ice cream.
